Dazy Lyn Shines at UCLA’s Just Culture Event for Prison Policy x Laws with Powerful Performance

UCLA’s School of Law courtyard turned into a lyrical sanctuary. It was part rally, part block party, this past Saturday as Dazy Lyn, the LA Baby, stepped onto the stage at the Just Culture event. So, I pulled up to see my girl do her thing.

Just Culture wasn’t just another campus event, it was a call to consciousness, centered around prison policy awareness, platforming voices that are actually doing the work to share their own stories and past experiences that could have led them in a different direction. Enter Dazy Lyn. She didn’t just perform, she poured.

With the sun hitting just right and the bass creeping under every verse, The LA Native opened up about her own fight to overcome alcoholism. The way she turned pain into power on that mic? That’s what makes artists unforgettable.

The bars? Sharp. The presence? Unshakable. The crowd? Locked in.

And just when you thought the mic was cooling down, Dazy casually dropped that her new album is on the way this year, and yes, there’s a Mozzy feature. She gave us a glimpse of an unreleased track, and it was just enough to know something major is coming.

Beyond the stage, the event felt like a full-on love letter to culture. A lowrider showcase lined the space with chrome and color, while local vendors held it down with everything from handmade goods to fire snacks. The energy was community-centered and PYNN’d to perfection.

I was there with my pyn and my lens, soaking it all in because that’s what being PYNN’d is all about. Pynnderella doesn’t just pull up, I document what matters. The truth, the talent, and the takeover.

The culture moves fast, but my ink is quicker.

The fairytale connoisseur,

Pynnderella.
