The Marathon Burger grand opening was everything you’d expect from an extension of Nipsey Hussle’s legacy—a community-driven, high-energy, all-money-in kind of event. With the doors officially opening on Melrose (taking over the former No Moo Vegan Burger spot), the night was filled with good vibes, good food, and good people.
A Team Effort in the Kitchen
Blacc Sam, Nipsey’s brother, was hands-on flipping burgers, while YG was in the back seasoning fries—a true family affair. The All Money In team took on different roles, making sure the restaurant was running smoothly. The presence of Nipsey’s sister, Samantha Smith, along with his nephews, godchildren, and his stunning daughter Emani, made the day even more heartfelt.
A Superstar-Studded Affair
The who’s who of L.A. pulled up to celebrate. Big Boi from 92.3 FM set the tone with some powerful words at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The list of attendees was packed with familiar faces:
India Love, Gina Views, DJ Hed, Chuck Dizzle, LA Wray, YG, Rosecrans Vic, The Money Team, Storm Debarge, Narissa, Elijah Banx, Twizzy Twitch, Matt Barnes, Trevor Ariza, NLE Choppa, Dom Kennedy, and many more.
And of course, top media outlets like Complex, LA for the Culture, Sunlit Media, and major publicists like Cathy Hood were in the building capturing the moment.
The Line Wrapped Around the Block
If there was ever a sign of a highly anticipated opening, this was it. The line stretched down the block, with people waiting over an hour just to get a taste. But let me tell you—the burgers were worth every second.
Inside the Exclusive VIP Section
While I didn’t do any interviews, I definitely got my flicks on the carpet. The VIP section was next-level exclusive, and they had a photo booth (which, of course, I took full advantage of).
